Fairly easy but a pain in the butt if you're worried about staining everything you own and maybe the cat.

These white pants had stains from washing them with coins in the pockets..so i decided to dye them!

Got some inspiration from Pinterest, more so from this sitehttp://www.thelittlegiggler.com/2012/05/pink-skinny-jeans-re-fashion.html

I got some RIT dye (the liquid kind) grabbed a plastic drawer cause that's all i had..and got to work. Here's the outcome

Oh sweet sweet Pinterest

So I realized that there are stages to becoming happily brainwashed by Pinterest.

1) You hear about this "pinning" and decide to check it out. Your first words are "I don't get it?"

2) Maybe about the 3rd scroll down, you make your very first pin. About your 5th scroll, you NEED to pin something so you can remember it later..

3) You start searching for things to pin and make boards.

4) "Hey! Honey I got another follower on crazy cat lady!!"

5) Congratulations! Just in a few weeks, you will have a have a mansion, a husband, 10,000 bottles of nail polish, pallet furniture, framed crayons, and DIY's that you will never ever do.

I am guilty of all of these thankyouverymuch.

I've done everything from spray painting clay pots and stacking them for a cute place to put flowers. Spray painted..never filled the pots.

To..the idea of wearing my boyfriend's work shirt as a dress..

and then this dresser I am actually proud of.
That's my pride and joy in the first pic. You'll see him often. The name's Pace. I kept seeing dressers all fresh and nice like online so I nabbed a free quart of paint at Ace Hardware, which i believe is a paint and primer. I didn't do any of that fancy stuff..ya know like sanding. I just slapped it on there with dollar tree paintbrushes. They work pretty good BTW. Then I used some sample paint (Ocean Whisper) from lowes and am very happy with what turned out.

Thanks for listening!

a quilting adventure..

So over the past week i've ventured into quilting...we went to joann fabrics and i found a quilt kit which is more of a blanket kit but i thought it would get me started ya know? So i picked out a baby one that has duckies on it..my new nephew loves his little duck toys, so this fits! I messed up and cut pieces too short so there are 4 squares in each corner :) IT STILL LOOKS LIKE A BLANKET THOUGH!! here it is, in all it's rubber duckie glory..

I also made some "test" purses, worked with interfacing, blah blah blah..but after finding this pretty pretty pretty fabric..i decided to make something for myself.

Now this never happens. I feel as though if i'm making something for someone else, it HAS to get done so i can see their face when they open it. Well, I got the quilt top done in just a few hours! I love it and I cant believe I actually made it :) I mean it's a basic pattern but it feels awesome to make something new! Here it is!
